  • Mini
      Chassis
      Tamiya M03 or M05 series "Front Wheel Drive" chassis only, assembled as per Instruction Manual, and no chassis/powertrain modifications allowed. With the exception of the included/optional differential which may be modified to give a locked/spool action.
      Bodies
      Bodyshells are open, with the following restrictions - No Modern (post 1980) 4 door Touring Sedans and/or 12th scale type Wedge/Can-am Sports bodies.
      Tyres
      Any commercially available rubber mini-sized tyre, in any combination and/or compound, with any insert.
      Motors and ESC
      Tamiya Black Can Sport-Tuned motors (23,000 rpm max) - 53068, or 13T/3000KV Hobbywing OEM/rebranded COMPLETE SYSTEM with max 25 or 35 amp ESC and engraved /etched can. No modifications are permitted to motors.
      Batteries
      Any approved 6 cell Nicad and NiMH stick pack configuration. Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR website ROAR LIST that will fit the mini chassis (without modification to pack or chassis).
      Gearing
      20, 18 OR 16 Tooth pinions only.
      Additional
      A minimum weight limit of 1330gms (with transponder). ESC, bearings and Tamiya Hot-ups only permitted, with the following exceptions - Official Tamiya optional ALLOY components may be replaced with an equivalent aftermarket part.
  • 540 Class Rules (VORTEC)
      Chassis
      Any IFMAR legal ISTC chassis.
      Bodies Unrestricted bodyshells.
      Tyres
      Rubber tyres only permitted.
      Motors
      540 Johnson/Mabuchi standard replacement silver can metal endbell motors, Motors may not be modified or tampered with in any way. Click here for images of allowed motors.
      Batteries
      Any approved 6 cell Nicad and NiMH pack, stick side by side or saddle configuration. Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR website (http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/lipobattery.php).
      Gearing
      Unrestricted gearing.
      Additional
      Chassis ready to run minimum weight with transponder: 1425grams Any hop-up from any manufacturer.
  • 21.5Turn Class Rules (VORTEC)
      Chassis
      Any IFMAR legal ISTC chassis.
      Bodies
      4Dr Sedan shells only
      Tyres
      Rubber tyres only permitted.
      Motors
      Any 21.5 turn motor, with any timing and with any other wise legal ESC, timing advance and turbo modes allowed.
      Batteries
      Any approved 6 cell Nicad and NiMH pack, stick side by side or saddle configuration. Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR website (http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/lipobattery.php).
      Gearing

  • 13.5Turn Class Rules (VORTEC)
      Chassis

      4Dr Sedan shells only

      Any 13.5 turn motor, with any timing and with any other wise legal ESC, timing advance and turbo modes allowed.
      Batteries
      Any approved 6 cell Nicad and NiMH pack, stick side by side or saddle configuration. Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR website (http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/lipobattery.php).

  • 17.5Turn Class Rules (WCRCMCC)
      Chassis
      Any IFMAR legal ISTC chassis.

      4Dr Sedan shells only

      Rubber tyres only permitted.
      Motors
      Any 17.5 turn motor, with any timing and with any other wise legal ESC, timing advance and turbo modes allowed.
      Batteries
      Any approved 6 cell Nicad and NiMH pack, stick side by side or saddle configuration. Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR website (http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/lipobattery.php).
      Gearing
      Unrestricted gearing.
      Additional
      Chassis ready to run minimum weight with transponder: 1425grams Any hop-up from any manufacturer.
  • 18R Class Rules (WCRCMCC Only)
      Chassis
      Out of the Box Associated 18R chassis only.
      Bodies
      Any Body from any manufacturer made specifically for the Associated 18R.
      Tyres
      Rubber or Foam tyres only permitted.
      Motors
      Out of the Box Associated Super 370 Motor 18 Series only permitted. Motors may not be modified or tampered with in any way.
      Batteries
      Any approved 6 cell Nicad and NiMH pack, stick configuration. Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo pack.
      Gearing
      Minimum Final Drive Ratio of 7.64 (18T Pinion & 55T Spur).
      Additional
      Chassis ready to run minimum weight with transponder: 570g (Based on Standard AE 1100maH NIMH 6 Cell Battery Pack, Club Transponder. Original Out of the Box Speed Controller only. Servo & Radio Gear - Open Out of the Box Shock Absorber Bodies. Shock Springs & Oils - Open. Servo Saver - Open. Any Hopup from Any Manufacturer made for the 18R allowed as long as all the above criteria is meet.
  • Nitro Tourer

      Kit engine (pull-start only), OR any .12ci size engine (pull start or non-pull start)
      Tuned pipe allowed.
      Single speed (open clutch pinion),
      Rubber tyres & inserts, (27mm max width/24mm min width), (any brand/profile),
      Foam rubber tyres (front 26mm/rear 30mm max width/24mm min width),
      Kit body shell, after market sedan / GT style (no wedge bodies),
      Any fuel (30% nitro max.),
      Shock & Diff oils open,
      Any suspension upgrades, including chassis and radio plate.
  • Nitro Pro tourer

      Kit engine (pull-start only), OR any .12ci size engine (pull start or non-pull start)
      Tuned pipe allowed.
      Two speed transmission
      Rubber tyres & inserts, (27mm max width/24mm min width), (any brand/profile)
      Foam rubber tyres (front 26mm/rear 30mm max width/24mm min width)
      Kit body shell, after market sedan / GT style (no wedge bodies)
      Any fuel (30% nitro max.)
      Shock & Diff oils open
      Any suspension upgrades, including chassis and radio plate

Race Day Timetable.


8:00 – 9:15 Track Setup (all members to help).
9:15 – 9:30 Complete Safety Checklist (committee & club member).
9:15 – 9:30 Scrutineering (new members and visitors cars).
9:15 – 9:30 Entries (no late entries will be accepted).
9:15 – 9:30 New memberships and renewals taken.
9:30 – 9:45 Electric practice.
9:45 – 10:00 Nitro practice.
9:35 Qualifying grid listings posted.
9:40 Drivers meeting.
10:00 First race.

5 Minute Gap Between previous race and the start of each Electric race.
5 Minute Gap Between previous race and the start of each Nitro race
15–45MinGap Between the 2nd round of heats and 1st round of finals, to allow for number and frequency changes in accordance to Finals grid listing and also to have lunch (A BBQ maybe provided on some race days)

2.30pm Approximate finishing time of race meeting (all members to help disassemble track)
